Peter - in this set of sails, I used a 1/5 oz. treated "stiff" ripstop nylon. It is 60 inches wide and sells for $3.10/yard if purchased in quantity. At the time, 3 of us bought a total of 7 yards. We were allowed to mix colors, but the neon colors were an additional $0.30 a yard. I used a double-sided tape for the seams. Purchased the rolls from Great Basin Model Yachts and I think they were about $3.00 or so. I am currently waiting to get samples of a laminated clear mylar/polyester that has strings inside like Tri-Spi. I called and asked for samples and also for small yard pricing. Normally the string/clear stuff runs between $8 and $16 a yard. I also sent via postal service, a sample of the above sail material that I've been using. Talked to my contact and they are willing to ship to Australia, but maybe check out some Kite Supply stores down there. Watch the mail. edit: replaced missing photo link
