What is the perspective of the Acting Class Secretary regarding foilers racing in the F48 class; will they race for a class championship as any other F48 or will they be subjected to some kind of handicapping system?

Thank you for your question.
At the present time, there are no planned regional or championship events. Although there is construction taking place in the US, currently, an insufficent number of boats have been built to qualify for AMYA recognition, so any "formal" racing conducted would be subject to either...
A) Rules and regulations set by a local club in which the F-48 would compete.
B) Rules and regulations set by a "hosting" authority
C) Rules and regulations set forth by the AMYA Open Class for any "open" event being held.
It would be appropriate to refer you to the club, event organizer or the AMYA Open Class Secretary to find out what rules they will use to run the regatta in which you are interested.
